USAJOBS is Hiring a Senior Policy Advisor Near Gaithersburg, MD
- Works with the ITL Director, senior management and staff to provide detailed guidance on policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Utilizes knowledge of NIST-wide programs, including on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and privacy, to collaborate with internal (NIST) and external stakeholders to navigate, negotiate, defend, or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.
- Conducts ITL's strategic planning, developing, executing, and coordinating the implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Develops and oversees policies and procedures and provides recommendations on issues spanning the entire scope of program activities to the ITL Director.
- Represents the office in high-level meetings and prepares congressional testimony, briefings, and other information for the ITL director and senior leadership.
- Identifies and performs in-depth analyses of issues, drafts potential solutions, and analyzes the consequence of adopting different solutions and policies.
- Oversees completion and maintenance of other ITL-level processes and activities.
- Oversees ITL's communications function, working with technical staff and management to coordinate technical resources and develop communication documents for various audiences.

- Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure, Form OGE-450
- Designated and/or random drug testing required
