Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. A Master's in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. Substitute degrees will not be accepted. Selective Placement Factor: Possess a current, unrestricted State license to practice clinical social work independently. Must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. For ANG candidates, completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement. The incumbent of this position description must have, at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG. Must be able to obtain and maintain privileging for the DOD/AFMS/ANGMS IAWDHA PM 6025-13 Vol 4 and DAFMAN 44-119. Must maintain credentials requirements at all times (i.e. current and unrestricted state license, BLS, clinical competencies, etc.) IAW DHA PM 6025-13 Vol 4 and DAFMAN 44-119.Qualifications SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have 24 months of experience in clinical social work assignments. For ANG candidates, completion of the Air Force Social Work Internship Program may be substituted for 12 months of the specialized experience requirement.
Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Quality of Experience - Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.
