QualificationsApplicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade: Applicants must have completed at least 52 weeks at the next lower grade (or equivalent) (for example 52 weeks at the GS-5 for the GS-07/ 52 weeks at the GS-07 for GS-09), or have held the same grade or higher grade level as the one advertised in order to be considered for this position.
Specialized Experience (GS 7): To qualify for the GS 7 position, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-5 level or higher, that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. For this position, specialized experience is defined as: Providing assistance in performing duties in support of a variety of business operations, administrative services, and/or management support programs and functions (e.g. leasing, information technology, procurement, purchasing, agreements, access control, training); Using automated systems and databases to accomplish work activities, prepare spreadsheets, manipulate data and produce analysis reports and spreadsheets
ORSuperior Academic Achievement: To qualify for superior academic achievement, you must have ONE of the following: (1) standing in the upper third of your college class or major subdivision at the time you apply; (2) grade point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed, either (a) at the time of application or (b) during the last 2 years of your undergraduate curriculum; (3) B (3.5 on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent for all courses completed, either (a) at the time of application or (b) during the last 2 years of your undergraduate curriculum; OR (4) election to membership in one of the national honorary scholastic societies that meets the requirements of the Association of College Honor Society.
OR Education Substitution: 1 year of graduate-level education in a related field.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position. This combination must have equipped you with the necessary knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the duties of this position. Combinations of experience and education must total at least 100% as outlined in OPM Qualifications policy.
Specialized Experience (GS-9 level): To qualify for the GS-9 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include: Performing duties in support of a variety of business operations that include tracking assignments, projects, or studies, related to administrative business operations and programs; Providing administrative management support based on mission and goals of programs. Providing support in the analysis of functions, processes, and data pertaining to the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of programs and work operations.
OR Education Substitution: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B., or J.D., if related.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of graduate-level education and experience, as described above, may be used to qualify for this position. This combination must have equipped you with the necessary knowledge and/or experience to successfully perform the duties of this position.
