RequirementsConditions of Employment
  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.

QualificationsApplicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions and specialized experience, as defined below.
Time In GradeCurrent federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Specialized Experience: At the GS-13, qualifying experience for includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-12 which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is experience:
  • Providing oversight of an organization's program goals and objectives related to mail management support services for customers.
  • Evaluating and assessing mail management program services, processes, and techniques to develop and implement policies, process improvements and cost savings.
  • Serving as an advisor in the interpretation of federal mail management regulations, laws, and policies to provide advice, guidance, and ensuring compliance.
  • Assiting with the budget and financial activities to control expenditures, cost efficiencies, obligations, and budget presentations.
NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
There is no education substitute for specialized experience at the GS-13 level.
