QualificationsApplicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-13 grade level.)
GS-13 Grade Level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: effective customer service (internal and external) as it relates to mortgage servicing and/or payoff processing policies and programs; create opportunities and methodologies to obtain and analyze input/feedback from customers; reviewing complex mortgage servicing and/or payoff processing programs and management processes; prepares specific recommendations to address problems and weakness and ensures that corrective actions are implemented; assisting in determining the need for written policies and procedures; developing standard operating procedures, in collaboration with programs, that are designed to improve efficiency and increase customer satisfaction; performs a full range of supervisory functions and provide appropriate supervision to ensure staff has the skills, knowledge, reports, tools, training, feedback, priorities, and automation support they need to accomplish their jobs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
