Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Internship
Role & Responsibilities:
· Understand / learn troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities necessary to keep industrial equipment operating efficiently.
· Participate with installs, troubleshooting, maintenance, PM, repairs, and/or overhauls all plant equipment, facilities, and utilities.
· Follows all plant guidelines, required safety regulations, OSHA safety standards and plant policies in performing those functions.
· May at times, weld using the following methods: Stick & Mig welding Work from blueprints and schematics and perform basic shop math.
· Able to navigate plants inventory software to locate and retrieve spare parts.
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
· Work as part of a team, communicating and cooperating to achieve the required results.
· Troubleshoot equipment in a trainee capacity alongside other plant mechanics, electricians, and PLC Techs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Must be enrolled in or be a recent graduate in a mechanical program.
· Mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills
· Meet the essential physical requirements of the position: Climb steps and ladders, walk long distances and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
· Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision
· Responsible for maintaining a set of personal tools as specified in the operator rate program.
· Familiar with Excel, Word and various other software.
· Must be able to work in extreme heat associated with dryers and kilns.
· Must be able to communicate with and coordinate with area supervision and be willing to work in all areas of plant operations as needed.

· Reports to Mill Maintenance Supervisor
· Familiar with industrial maintenance, diesel mechanic and welding.
Department: Maintenance
· Schedule: Flexible dependent on school class schedules. Typically – Mon-Friday – 7am – 3:30pm.
Hourly Salary-$26.00
