Job Title: Process Engineer – Manufacturing - Roll Forming and Press Focus

Pay Rate: $61,740-$82,320 Annually

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Tool and Die Makers and Tooling Designer to improve reliability and quality of the existing tooling.
  • Assist with the rollout of new products from a technical resource for Roll Forming and/or Tool and Die design.
  • .
  • Prioritize process improvement based on impact to the organization.
  • Executes daily administrative tasks within a manufacturing plant with a particular focus on managing the coordination, implementation and standardization of improvement projects within the plant.
  • Monitors and makes recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Researches and identifies fiscally sound potential projects and then uses established leadership skills to build, develop and lead teams to execute a solution for the project.
  • Long term growth opportunities to join Technical team in a number of different roles

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Incorporates safety into all aspects of the department to ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment.
  • Responsible for monitoring day to day process activity and recommending improvements to maximize efficiency to include waste, speed, delay and raw material usage.
  • Manage the coordination, implementation and standardization of manufacturing process improvements. Establish and utilize Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for supporting new technology, implementing trial plans and being the primary contact with Corporate Technical Services for process optimization.
  • Responsible for leading cross functional teams assembled to address process variability.

  • Gathers and analyzes information to formulate actions. Manages the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which project goals, objectives and metrics are met.
  • Decisive; doesn’t procrastinate on decisions. Sets priorities well; distinguishes clearly between important and unimportant tasks.

  • Actively participates/collaborates with team members to enhance team’s effectiveness. Possesses effective interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the Business Unit’s Lean Six Sigma goals. Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.
  • Provides personal contributions and assists others to maximize team goal attainment. Is a positive influence on others.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or
  • Minimum 5 years experience (can have experience in lieu of degree)

Years of Experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Required Skills

  • Tool and Die Making, and or Roll Forming experience
  • Strong analytical, communication and decision-making skills
  • Self-starter, with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong IT competency in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Outlook, etc.)
