  • The Credentialing Specialist verifies the professional licensing, training, and certifications of professional medical staff at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital – Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Center.
  • The primary goal is to ensure healthcare professionals and services meet all established federal and state standards, as well as NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.

Required Experience:

Specific Job Experience:

·Minimum two years’ experience in Medical Staff Services and credentialing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, business correspondence and memos.

·Ability to write complex correspondence.

·Ability to effectively present information in group situations to patients, physicians and other employees of the organization.

·Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

·Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

·Ability to maintain confidentiality

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·Coordinate and oversee facility credentialing according to the bylaws and The Joint Commission and CMS requirements.

·Maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive, privileged credentialing communications and work products.

·Organizing and maintain filing systems.

·Maintaining positive relationships with physicians and corporate personnel.

·Other duties as assigned
