Required Skills:Education
·High School diploma or equivalent
·Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
Licensure/Certification
·Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
·Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License, CT and MR
·Current BLS certification

Required Experience:Specific Job Experience
Two to five years’ experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exam
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
·The Radiology Technician operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, XI-SCAN, develops film, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies and medications.
·Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
·Practices proper MRI safety techniques on all exams preformed.
·Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
·Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
·Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation
·Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
·Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Director
·Takes emergency call as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
·Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
·Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served
·Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
