Patient Specialist

Overview:

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. In this dynamic role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support to new and existing patients, focusing on IT support, medical device assistance, general inquiries, and enrollment into our RPM and CCM programs. This position involves engaging directly with patients, healthcare providers, and physicians in person and over the phone. If you possess a background in healthcare, information technology, customer service, and sales, and are ready to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with patients in the clinical setting to provide support
  • Assist patients in overcoming barriers during onboarding
  • Troubleshoot IT and medical device issues over the phone & in person
  • Navigate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) efficiently
  • Engage with patients daily in person and via phone/text message
  • Utilize our software for patient onboarding and documentation
  • Review patient demographics in Google Sheets/Google Docs
  • Receive inbound and make outbound phone calls
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Multitask between multiple software systems and EMRs
  • Educate patients about chronic conditions and available resources
  • Interpret healthcare data and ICD-10 codes
  • Identify, acknowledge, and advocate for patient needs
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Participate in quarterly quality assurance and performance reviews
  • Conduct some remote work; daily local travel within New Port Richey, FL

Qualifications:

  • A healthcare background is highly preferred
  • Information Technology (IT) background is a plus
  • A sales or Network Marketing background is highly preferred
  • Customer service background required
  • Medical knowledge required
  • Comfortable speaking directly with doctors and medical providers
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work locally in New Port Richey, FL, and remotely as needed
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident, organized, and possesses strong time management skills
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ideal Candidate Attributes:
