Utah State University Space Dynamics Laboratory is Hiring an Integration and Test Director Near North, UT

We are looking for a leader to direct the assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) effort for a NASA mission dedicated to discovering and characterizing potentially hazardous asteroids and comets.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE
SDL is looking for someone with experience with space hardware, specifically the assembly, integration, and test campaign leading up to instrument delivery. This person will lead a team of highly technical engineers and technologists, coordinate daily activities, interface with internal and external stakeholders, and present at formal reviews. This person will follow established processes and develop specific procedures with care and precision to ensure successful payload completion and delivery for spacecraft integration.
Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of hardware-related activity in the space satellite/payload industry
  • Proven technical background one or more aspects of space hardware (mechanical, thermal, electrical, spacecraft, etc.)
  • Experience with space hardware AI&T
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physics, or related field
  • Experience leading a team of 10
  • Ability to generate and follow technical documentation
  • Meticulous record-keeping skills
  • Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US Person

  • Previous experience leading space hardware AI&T efforts
