Job DescriptionOur company is currently seeking a Bookkeeper Accounting Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
Utopia is a well-known NYC commercial sub-contractor continually growing each of our 22 years in business. Our field staff is all union, most with us for over 15 years, installing metal and glass facade, windows in schools, MOMA, TWA, Moynihan Station, Pendry hotel, to name a few. Global contacts, and significantly growing . WE NEED a person who is looking for a career and to make this a home while cohesively working with others
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- QuickBooks experience a MUST
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Notary a plus but not required at time of hire
- Accounts payable/receivable
