Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for Packaging/Processing Utility person to work from our Wilkes-Barre, PA facility. This position will be a part of our NEW Weekend Day crew. The required shift is Saturday-Sunday 6AM-6PM with the opportunity to flex up to 40 hours Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to unload trailers of potatoes.
• Adhere to an unloading schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness of unloader workspace.
• Monitor potato bin capacity and functionality.
• Work with QA to review potato quality prior to unloading.
• Collect and retain appropriate delivery paperwork.
• Assist with break and lunch relief in frying and production room.
• Occasionally participates in sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean and safeguard equipment and facilities used for the packaging and processing of food products.
  • This includes but is not limited to the use of mild to moderate chemicals and spray cleaners, compressed air tools and cloths to hand-wipe equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift certification will be required.
• Ability to understand and speak English or Spanish for training purposes.
• Experience working in food processing facility is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under constant pressure of production line environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
