Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Utility/Forklift Operator to work from our manufacturing facility located in Fitchburg, MA on Second shift. The required hours are Monday-Friday 3:10PM-11:55PM.

As a Utility/Forklift Operator the main responsibility of this position requires the candidate to substitute for jobs in various manufacturing departments, pending training.

Responsibilities:

• Pending training, substitutes in the following positions:
  • Lineperson and packaging room
  • Peeler operator peeling potatoes in the processing room.
  • Warehouse personnel with pulling orders with pallet jack and forklift, stickering product, labeling, etc.
• Performs various cleaning duties as assigned
  • Frying Room end of week clean up, windows, floors, etc.
• Responsible for end of day sanitation and clean-up as well as Saturday boil out and clean-up when needed.
• Uses Lock Out Tag Out as required to ensure safe operations at all times.
• Responsible to follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
• Responsible to report unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor.
• Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Requires standing 100% of the time.
• Position requires ability to learn various jobs and flexibility to perform different jobs each day.
• Able to perform different jobs each day.
• Requires manual labor.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to pivot and change tasks with minimal notice and preparation.
