UW Health in Northern Illinois is Hiring a Physician Resources Specialist Near Rockford, IL

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing support for all aspects of provider recruitment and employment process. The responsibilities include but not limited to management of recruitment reporting, administration and coordination of provider pre and post-employment activities, assist with the coordination of provider orientation and assist in maintaining electronic records. The specialist performs a variety of functional and administrative tasks in a high paced environment. Works closely with the Medical Staff and Credentialing departments for provider credentialing tracking. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. Serve as a department liaison to medical staff providers, collaborating with System departments to facilitate accurate flow of information and services.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Associates degree in human resources or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least three to five years of experience in recruitment, marketing or customer service required. Physician recruitment and healthcare experience preferred.

N/A

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Successful completion of annual job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Proficiency in a variety of Microsoft products and Internet applications. Experience with provider recruitment process and credential process preferred. Ability to effectively interact and communicate orally and in writing with physicians, senior administration, and all levels of staff within the organization and community. Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills required. Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.
