The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with evaluating patients, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing physical therapy interventions to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective care.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Physical Therapist (PT) in conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional limitations.Aid in developing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.Implement physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities as directed by the PT.Provide treatment to patients as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the PT.Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and ways to improve overall wellness.Provide guidance on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to facilitate independence.Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed in collaboration with the PT to ensure optimal outcomes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state licensing board.Qualifications:Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.Proven experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a post-acute or rehabilitation setting.Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in physical therapy.CPR certification (preferred).Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies.Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and performing physical therapy interventions.Manual dexterity and strength to perform therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.Benefits for Permanent Placement ONLY:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holiday pay.Retirement savings plan with employer match.Continuing education and professional development opportunities.Supportive and collaborative work environment.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and experience to [email address].
