POSITION SUMMARY

Using standard operatingprocedures (SOP) and good manufacturing practices (GMP) the QCEngineer / Scientist I will perform testing of components andfinished products as part of the product release process.

The QCEngineer / Scientist I will be responsible for all aspects oflaboratory testing such as sample receipt data generation dataanalysis and summarization instrument operation and other QC labsupporting activities.

Responsibilities :

Conducts analytical and functionaltesting of components and finished product according to approvedSOPs

Perform testing using typical laboratoryinstrumentation including chemistry clinical analyzers and documenttest results accurately using Excel spreadsheets andworkbooks.

Documents test results complete batch recordsdocument problems and other relevant information undercGMPs.

Perform simple revisions and updates to QCs SOPsand / or worksheets as necessary and initiate procedure changeorders.

Summarize test data maintain lot histories andevaluate data for trends and discrepancies.

Performsother responsibilities to support the needs of the department asassigned by Supervisor.

Participate in PPI Lean and 5Sprograms as required.

MinimumRequirements / Qualifications :

Minimum BS / BA in ChemistryBiochemistry or Bioscience with 02 yrs Quality Assurance / QualityControl experience preferably in the medical diagnosticsindustry.

Demonstrated ability and / or additionalexperience may be considered in lieu of a BS / BA degree.

Strong laboratory skills including pipetting safety and hazardouschemical handling.

High levelof reading comprehension skills.

Ability to followwritten and verbal directions with a high level ofaccuracy.

Must be able to write clear understandabledocumentation.

High level of verbal communicationskills.

Manual dexterity must be able to lift / move up to20 pounds.

Intermediate word processing and spreadsheetsoftware skills.

Ability to manage multiple taskssimultaneously.

Ability to workindependently.

Ability to perform simple data analysisand to summarize results.

Basic math skills includingcalculation of concentrations and dilutions and a strong grasp ofalgebraic concepts.
