V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Mainframe Developer IV for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Education And Experience »

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience 6 years of IT experience.
• Wholesale payment industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in key IT Service Management areas (Incident, Problem, Knowledge and Change Management).
• Working knowledge of real-time messaging and batch file transfer implementation and troubleshooting using different packages and methodologies (MQ, FTP, SCP, Sterling, etc.).
• Experience working knowledge of change management practices, agile and scrum methodologies.
• Experience with application databases in Oracle, MS-SQL and DB2 to include table design, table updates, query design, table load.
• Experienced developer with IBM Mainframe technologies (TSO/Roscoe, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, SAS, Debug).

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities »

• Proficient mainframe Cobol/JCL/DB2 developer platform.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and requesting network services: Routing, Firewalls, NATs, etc.
• Knowledge of NACHA/ACH preferred, Fiserv PEP . Skills.
• Knowledge of test automation tools and processes, agile project management methodology.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with the line of business to design solutions to incorporate software changes and effectively work with business partners to ensure effective implementation.
• Work closely with product owner to ensure that user stories have enough specificity and clarity for the software developers to effectively meet customer needs.
• Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
• Keep up with technology trends and innovations in your field(s) of practice.
• Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards to implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of technical products and services.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a highly collaborative environment.
• Results driven, attention to detail, ability to work independently.
• Other duties as required.
