We are seeking a highly skilled Server / Data Center (DC) Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX. This onsite contract role requires a professional with extensive experience in assembling, configuring, and maintaining server and data center components. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with hardware and software integration, and a comprehensive understanding of PC platform architecture and QA methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and configure reference and validation platforms.
• Integrate assets (CPU, DIMMs, IO Cards) into new platforms and perform integration checks.
• Manage and maintain testing systems, including replacing components such as CPU, DIMMs, and IO cards.
• Perform level 1 triage on platforms.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, and triage defects.
• Assemble, maintain, and debug validation systems in the lab, including motherboards, voltage regulator modules, and storage devices (SATA, USB, PCIe).
• Load operating systems, flash firmware, and BIOS images both in-circuit and through out-of-band fixtures.
• Utilize tools such as JTAG debuggers, Dediprogs, SATA, USB, and PCIe bus analyzers.
• Isolate component issues from software issues and user errors.
• Apply understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Demonstrate experience and understanding of PC platform architecture.
• Follow HW and SW QA processes and methodologies.
• Show a detail-oriented approach and a drive to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in server/data center engineering.
• Proficient in assembling, setting up, and configuring server components.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate and address component and software issues.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Solid understanding of PC platform architecture.
• Familiarity with HW and SW QA processes and methodologies.
• Experience using JTAG debuggers, Dediprogs, SATA, USB, and PCIe bus analyzers.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
