V2X is Hiring a Program Manager - (T1A) - Madison, MS Near Madison, MS

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for program management of the assigned programs located at Madison, MS. The position of Senior Program Manager requires a combination of management ability, communication skills, and leadership qualities. The Senior Program Manager is also required to be customer-oriented and understand Aviation program requirements.
Job Responsibilities
  • Serving as primary liaison with government representatives to coordinate all Program actions.
  • Reviews and analyzes aircraft maintenance reports and statistical data to detect trends and problem areas.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.
  • Serves as a member of senior management team, in formulating and establishing organizational policies and operating procedures for the company.
  • Directs, coordinates, and manages all aspects of aircraft maintenance at assigned location.
  • Provides leadership to the team through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication.
  • Aligns goals of the field with the company’s goals, policies, and strategies.
  • The Program Manager shall have the ability to meet constraints of time, cost and technical performance, while focusing on customers' needs through strong leadership, decision making, management, and communication skills.
  • The Program Manager shall have recent knowledge of organizational processes, risk management, quality processes and quality management, schedule and cost control, basic contracting law, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Acquisition Regulations, Federal Aviation Regulations, and Defense Logistics Manual (DLAM 8210.1) and Aviation maintenance management.
  • The Program Manager shall review, direct, and coordinate all program actions.
  • The Program Manager shall be responsible for reporting monthly, quarterly and annual P&L reports.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Shall have qualifications and experience applicable to Program Management, Supply Chain Management, and Aircraft Maintenance practices with no fewer than ten (10) years of experience working in aviation logistics related fields.
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of management experience with 5 years in a Program Management role preferred.
  • Five (5) years directly managing aircraft maintenance operations highly preferred.
  • BA/BS degree in a managerial discipline preferred.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills for interaction with executive decision makers, proposals, and presentations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a customer facing role and as a collaborative member of a diverse team
Physical RequirementsPrimarily office environment. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. At times, must be able to work in aircraft hangar environment and board / exit aircraft. At times, must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and stoop. Must be able to walk particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as typing. Must be able to work at heights, subject to noise, subject to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, work on scaffolding, exposure to heat/cold. Must be able to communicate effectively.
