Job Details
Vaco is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst that will leverage expertise in SQL and reporting tools to generate meaningful reports and dashboards. This role also involves responding to ad-hoc data requests by asking clarifying questions, identifying the necessary data, and presenting it in a clear, concise manner.

- Develop and present data visualizations, reports, and dashboards based on business needs
- Convert business requirements into precise technical specifications for BI solutions
- Design, implement, and maintain BI systems and tools, such as Tableau, Jaspersoft, and Alteryx
- Perform data analysis through database queries to extract meaningful insights
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues by conducting thorough unit testing
- Enhance and optimize existing BI systems for better performance and scalability
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Provide ongoing support for data analytics platforms and ensure their effective operation
- Maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation to support ongoing projects
- 5-10 years of experience with SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases; SQL Server preferred, MySQL or data lake experience is a plus
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with a recognized reporting tool, preferably Tableau; experience with Jaspersoft, Tableau Prep, or Alteryx is a plus
- Oracle Fusion ERP reporting experience is an advantage
- Strong skills in report layout and presentation
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to support production
- Experience with performance tuning for data sources, reports, and dashboards
- Ability to independently drive requirements gathering from business stakeholders and document them clearly
- Self-starter with excellent organization, planning, and time management skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Experience working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, with strong interpersonal skills
- A strong track record of success in taking ownership of solutions from concept to completion
