OVERVIEW

Vaco Dallas is seeking a motivated Data Engineer with 3-5 years of experience for a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analytics solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services, Data Warehouses, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI. This role involves developing ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring data accuracy and security, and supporting various data-driven initiatives within the organization. The right candidate will be driven to excel and contribute effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in designing and implementing data analytics solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• Support the development and maintenance of ETL processes.
• Help create and manage data models.
• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Implement data security and governance within Power BI.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all data systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and solutions.
• Implement data quality measures and ensure data consistency.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to various departments.
• Train and support business users in utilizing data analytics tools.
• Assist in managing and maintaining SQL databases.
• Perform regular database backups, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Assist in planning and executing database upgrades and migrations.
• Participate in the development lifecycle, including testing and deployment.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of data strategies.
• Analyze financial data and collaborate with finance teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Integrate data from external sources and third-party vendors into internal data systems.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes and APIs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing data analytics solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, Analysis Services, Data Warehouses, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.
• Experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes, data models, dashboards, and reports.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of data management.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience in managing and maintaining SQL databases.
• Knowledge of the full development lifecycle.
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps for project management and code versioning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Experience in integrating data from multiple external sources.

In our commitment to transparency throughout the hiring process, we provide a target annual base salary range of $100,000 - $130,000 for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) experience, work location, and skills. Additionally, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits provided by the hiring employer.
