The Accountant is an integral part of a dedicated and highly skilled team, responsible for providing outstanding customized service to our Clients. Maintaining a high level of Client satisfaction is critical to the success of this position. The individual in this role is responsible for performing a broad spectrum of financial activities and customer service, including accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliations, with additional responsibilities as a backup for accounts payable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Receivable:

• Maintain strong communication with clients and customers to request and arrange payment.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and update customer files as needed.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers promptly and accurately.
• Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports for management review.

General Ledger Reconciliations:

• Perform monthly general ledger and account reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Accounts Payable & Expense Reimbursement:

• Support accounts payable activities during peak times or in the absence of primary staff.
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

Other:

• Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters efficiently and proactively.
• Identify and implement processes and systems to automate and increase efficiencies.
• Work on special projects individually and as part of a team.
• Effectively collaborate and communicate with others; demonstrate a desire to be part of a team.
• Exercise sound judgment and an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Complete other projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in any major required; accounting or finance coursework preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in a related field such as accounting, finance, tax, or customer service.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Great Plains preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency; strong attention to detail.
• Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service with a professional, tactful demeanor.
• Must maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity in all operations.
