Human Resources Data Entry Clerk–FT Winter Seasonal – Northstar California

The Data Entry / File Clerk is responsible for the data entry of all new and returning employee paperwork. This position will assist the Human Resources department with a variety of data entry projects including but not limited to; employee file management and I-9 retention. This position is also responsible for filing all of the paperwork that comes through the Human Resources office. This is a full time seasonal positions that runs from beginning of October through January.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure required new hire paperwork is completed accurately and all pre-requisites are met.
  • Ensure accurate data entry of all new and returning employee paperwork. The Human Resources main goal is to achieve a 48-hour turnaround of all paperwork. All employee paperwork received that day with no existing complications will be input within 48 hours.
  • Responsible for filing all employment related information into the employee’s personnel file. Filing on a daily basis will help to maintain an organized employee records area.
  • Complete training for our employee database system, Peoplesoft. Work closely with the HR Supervisor on any input errors that may need to be corrected. Keep the HR Supervisor up to date and completely informed of all issues that may arise with the input process. 
  • Assist with job fair, orientations, and employee events, including evening functions.
  • Attend company and department training programs as required.
  • Handles confidential information and understands importance of privacy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Must have excellent computer and typing skills
  • Able to work independently and demonstrate team spirit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task

Preferred:

  • 6 months Administrative experience
  • 6 months PeopleSoft experience
