Description :

• Pick up and deliver glassware and plastic ware.
• Observe the established procedures for the handling and transporting of glassware and contaminated items.
• Operate autoclaves for decontamination or sanitization.
• Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers and ultrasonic baths
• Maintain temperature chart recorders / equipment forms and use proper documentation.
• Perform routine inspections / checks on glass wash and autoclave equipment
• Prepare items for sanitization including glassware, caps and related articles, employing procedural steps during the process.
• Inspect glassware for cleanliness and structural defects.
• Routinely checks inventory of glassware, notifying Glassware Lead of deficiencies.
• Provide housekeeping of glassware processing areas.
• Follow all procedures in performing all aspects of glassware processing.
• Perform monthly de-scale and routine maintenance.
• Use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all paperwork.
• Observe all safety precautions and be proactive in raising safety and operational concerns.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner.
• Mentor / Train new team members
• Work with team lead to develop process improvement initiatives
• This role will work closely with other teams to seamlessly deliver lab support services.
• Will be required to cross-train and back-up other lab support areas as needed.

Skills Overview :

Qualifications / years of experience :

• Associate’s degree in a scientific field OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a related field

Must Haves :

1. Previous glass wash experience preferred.

2. 5-panel Drug Screen from any Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration ( SAMHSA )

3.Technology Requirements :

MS Office Skills : Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
