Summary:

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of supplier, inventory, purchasing, and related pricing data in an on-going effort reduce operational costs, increase margin, and assist in better inventory planning for market growth. The Supply Chain Analyst must collect data and evaluate performance based on purchases, pricing, and related customer inquiries. The development and tracking of key performance indicators will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision making.

The Supply Chain Analyst will create both standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative product and inventory/purchasing analysis, and assess future needs and data integrity. The candidate must develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain new and existing Power BI reports related to purchasing, inventory management, margin improvement, scorecard management, and operations.
• Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report data to increase sales productivity in relation to inventory mix
• Compile and review weekly customer forecast information to determine current purchase/expedite needs
• Update/create forecast tools to conform to customer format(s)
• Review items for inventory plan creation, adjustment, or deletion
• Set inventory plans based on historical usage review, customer/sales input , strategic vendor initiatives and supplier agreements
• Determine best cost quantities or practices based on item, supplier discount structures and customer price agreements
• Develop templates for strategic operational planning
• Perform analysis off of top core inventory in regional segmentation based on warehouses
• Develop automated reporting and oversight
• Create template and meetings for content development of product strings
• Connect product strings through P21
• Perform similar job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, Finance, or similar data related fields.
• Minimum of one year of business experience is required
• Ability to build and maintain complex computer applications and programs that perform analysis, organize data and create reports from various sources (i.e. Power BI, SQL, Python, Crystal & Excel)
• Knowledge of relational databases and the ability to create stored procedures
• Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources
• Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel, CRM, computer programming and relational databases
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Power BI, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
• Excellent group presentation skills

Physical Capabilities and Requirements:

• Majority of the day is spent sitting at a desk in front of the computer.
