JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Assistant to Facilities Manager/Golf Course Superintendent

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager/Golf Course Superintendent

Job Purpose:

This person assists in the maintenance of VEHA property and the upkeep of the golf course.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The specific duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Performs duties assigned by supervisor as they relate to the maintenance of VEHA properties for which the Facilities Manager/Golf Course Superintendent is responsible.
• Maintains VEHA water system
• Daily golf course operations related work
• Ongoing maintenance and servicing of equipment (plow truck, mowers, greens aerator, tractor, etc).
• Performs Club House Maintenance
• Schedules dumpster pick-up and other related garbage disposal related activities
• Cleans and repairs culverts
• Removes fallen trees from roads when applicable
• Assists with the ongoing ponds maintenance

Qualifications include:

• The individual must possess basic knowledge regarding mechanics, golf course maintenance and water systems.
• The individual must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• The individual must have valid Driver’s License.
• Must have appropriate interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical skills and water operations knowledge is a plus.

Working Conditions:

The individual will be exposed to working in varying weather conditions and at varying times.

Direct Report: This person reports directly to the Facilities Manager/Golf Course Superintendent.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
