This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.SummaryThe Pharmacy Tech will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medications, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. ResponsibilitiesPosition duties include the following activities:
Fill and label medications.
Stock medications into pharmacy inventory.
Restock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs).
The Pharmacy Tech maintains adequate medication stock levels and proper storage of medications.
The Pharmacy Tech delivers medications to patient care areas.
Attend to medication requests and phone calls.
The Pharmacy Tech assists in Pharmacy quality assurance activities.
Comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission standards and Tenet and hospital policies and procedures.
The Pharmacy Tech assists pharmacists in performing various duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducationRequired: High School Graduate or equivalent ExperiencePreferred: Hospital Experience CertificationsRequired: Registered Pharmacy Technician license. Pharmacy Technician certification (both based on state requirements) BLS obtain within 5 days. Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
