Pharmacist - Information Tech I - IT Clinical Systems
SUMMARY: As an IT Pharmacist I, you will support clinical systems and workflows within Valley Children's Healthcare (VCH), which directly or indirectly affect the pharmacy systems and/or applications which utilize medication information. Under direct supervision, you will support the evaluation of products, assessment of operational issues, upgrades, implementations, and maintenance of clinical information systems (EMR) and 3rd party pharmacy systems. This position requires a working knowledge for current pharmacy and health system practices. This position also requires analytical problem-solving skills, organization, excellent verbal and written communication skills, creativity skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively or independently on various projects simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills are critical as there are numerous interactions with internal staff and external vendors. Preferred working knowledge of information systems technology.

EXPERIENCE:

• Pharmacy residency preferred.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• Accredited residency program preferred.
• Registered Pharmacist with California State Board of Pharmacy (RPH) required.
• Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) encouraged for those serving the PICU, ED, and overnight shifts within 12 months of hire or transfer into position preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period.

PAY RANGE: $72.00-$101.40
