GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Director leads and oversees the comprehensive delivery of Human Resources services, policies, and initiatives across the organization. Collaborating closely with the Lead Pastor, Chief School Administrator, and Director of Operations, they are dedicated to cultivating an exceptional workforce that embodies and advances the missions of the church and school within their respective communities. The Human Resources Director provides strategic counsel to all organizational leaders, ensuring alignment of their efforts with the company's purpose, mission, strategic goals, and personnel policies.

Responsible to: Lead Pastor/Chief School Administrator or designee

Supervises: HR Assistant (if applicable)

JOB SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES/TASKS

  • Partnering with the Director of Operations, Executive Pastor, Lead Pastor, and Chief School Administrator ensures that the human resource function harmonizes with the mission of the church and school.
  • Formulate organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues, providing insights and analysis to establish human resource objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead change initiatives and execute specific human resource strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Align performance management and reward systems with the missions to reinforce desired behaviors and achieve organizational outcomes.
  • Supervise administrative and operational support across the organization
  • Oversight of the responsibilities of the human resource assistant (if applicable).
  • Originate and guide Human Resources practices and objectives to foster an employee-centered environment that promotes a high-performance culture emphasizing quality, productivity, standards, goal achievement, and the recruitment and continuous development of a top-tier workforce.
  • Oversee the implementation of services, policies, and programs through the Human Resources team; report to the Lead Pastor or Chief School Administrator as applicable; executive management team member; provide guidance and counsel to company managers on Human Resources matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressive Human Resource experience.
  • Demonstrated workforce planning skills and developing human resource strategies that drive achieving organizational objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone.
  • Able to stand or sit for sustained periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push or pull up to 25 pounds.
