Valley Forge Medical Center is actively seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide essential care to patients in a hospital setting.

Summary: As a skilled healthcare provider, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of conditions, with a particular focus on addictions and related disorders. You will assume the role of a nurse practitioner in a narcotic treatment program, combining duties that encompass comprehensive patient care, health promotion, and disease prevention. You will also perform H&Ps for new admissions as needed.

Job Essentials:

• Perform physical exams, order tests, and diagnose and treat substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
• Assess level of withdrawal and prescribe necessary medications to facilitate the detox process.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of initiating and/or continuing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), discuss with the care team, and prescribe necessary medications for MAT.
• Assess the need for medications to treat mental health disorders.
• Consult with other healthcare providers.
• Ensure appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care.
• Continuously learn and develop for optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Demonstrate a passion for caring for those in recovery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• DEA license required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks.

Schedule:

M-F 9am-5pm plus every 4th weekend. 

Salary - Negotiable up to 180K
