Position: Clinical Clerk
Location: Greenfield MA
Hours: 32 hours, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the RN Team Leader, the Clinical Clerk is responsible for accurate prescription refills, prior authorizations for medications as well as effective communication with staff and providers.
As the Clinical Clerk you will be responsible for ensuring all requests for prescription refills are handled in a timely and efficient manner, including requests from patients via phone and PORTAL as well as requests from pharmacies.
The right candidate will process all prior authorizations for medications sent from pharmacies, providers or insurance companies within 3 days of receipt of the request. Researches insurance carrier requirements and gathers necessary information for completion.
Qualifications

• Medical Assistant or equivalent medical office experience including medical terminology.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to work in ambulatory healthcare setting
