Vallourec North America is Hiring a Record To Report Manager Near Houston, TX

Fundamental Mission:
A Record to Report Manager oversees the financial reporting and accounting operations of an organization. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, managing the general ledger, and leading the accounting team remotely at the Shared Service Center in Brazil.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
    • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
    • Provide analysis and interpretation of financial data.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants.
    • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Utilize financial software and tools to streamline accounting processes.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and support for financial processes.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Tax Function:
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations.
    • Ensure and review completion of sales, property, and corporate tax filings.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting of Finance
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
