The drill machine operator is responsible for the set-up and running the roll drilling machine. You'll be required to remove and install bearing and processing heads for the set-up operation. Any adjustments on the machine or roll alignments are the responsibility of the operator to ensure the drilling of all required patterns.
Any upgrades to the programing of the machine will also be required in addition to training other operators. Following all specifications within the job function will enable Valmet to provide a quality product to our customer.
Expectations
To excel in the role you should have a solid understanding of the manufacturing environment. You should possess strong mechanical skills and be able to understand and follow product specifications. You will balance a desire to support and work diligently on tasks along with your passion for development of cutting-edge products.
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Preferred individual will have a mechanical aptitude coupled with strong computer skills.
