As a Field Service Specialist, you will provide advisory services to customers and/or third party contractors on existing and/or newly acquired equipment and components.
In this role you will
- Provide assistance for the installation and commissioning of any equipment and components.
- Carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis as required, undertaking service and repair of products and systems to deliver against customers’ requirements.
- Keep accurate records regarding job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, extras, and engineering and fabrication errors.
- Report back on the completed projects outlining the activities carried out, faults found during service and any future recommendations for improving the service offering.
- Train customer staff in methods to maintain and repair the equipment, to ensure knowledge is transferred.
- Conduct audits at customer sites to record and analyze process improvement opportunities.
Geographical scope: Primarily Eastern Alabama, Georgia and Northern Florida areas.
ExpectationsThe incumbent must meet one of these requirements:
- 4 Years Experience in the field with instrumentation and electromechanics, preferably in a pulp and paper manufacturing environment.
- A technical school diploma in instrumentation, electromechanics, or mechatronics.
- A University or Collegial Degree in electronics, electro-mechanics, or instrumentation.
This position requires a valid driver’s license. Typical 75% travel will be required for this assigned area.
