RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROJECT SPECIALIST FIELD SERVICES:
As a project Specialist Field Services at Valmet, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of our field service operations. You will be responsible for meticulously planning and coordinating various aspects of field service activities, such as ensuring the availability of supplies, spare parts, tooling, and coordinating on-time delivery to multiple job sites. You will be interacting with colleagues in customer service, logistics, field service, product groups and sales. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Inventory Management : Keep track of tools and equipment, across multiple storage sites, ensuring they are in good condition, ready for use and delivered on time to worksites. Keep track of all supplies and consumables and make sure they are replenished before the upcoming contracts.
• Monitoring Spare Parts : Monitor the customer's and internal spare parts orders related to shutdown activities to make sure they will be delivered ahead of the outage.
• Delivery Coordination : Coordinate the delivery of spare parts and tools to the work sites, ensuring they arrive on time.
• Logistics Planning : Plan the movement of tools from one work site to the next, taking into account factors such as distance, transportation options, and project timelines. Outage and Start-Up planning & logistics.
• Communication : Maintain clear and regular communication with customer service, project managers, suppliers, and transportation companies to ensure smooth operations.
• Documentation : Keep accurate records of all transactions, including orders, deliveries, and tool movements.
• Problem-Solving : Address any issues or delays in the delivery or movement of tools and spare parts, finding quick and effective solutions.
• Maintenance Scheduling : Schedule regular maintenance for tools to ensure they remain in good working condition. Work with Quality department to maintain tool calibration records and schedule.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with Health, Safety, & Environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Reporting : Regularly report to management about inventory status, delivery schedules, and any challenges or issues encountered.
• Maintenance Scheduling : Schedule regular maintenance for tools to ensure they remain in good working condition. Work with Quality department to maintain tool calibration records and schedule.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reporting : Regularly report to management about inventory status, delivery schedules, and any challenges or issues encountered.

Well qualified candidate preferred to have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position may require travel greater than 50% or more for providing service and following up with the customers on a regular basis.
International assignments may also be required.
Strong background in Boilers (Chemical Recovery and Power Generation), Woodyard, Evaporation, Lime Kiln, Pulp drying, and Recaust would be helpful. Good communication and organizational skills required, along with strong PC skills.
