A Brief Summary Of This PositionThis position will assist in multiple areas including but not limited to customer invoicing and reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, month-end close, back up accounts payable, and assisting with various administrative functions of the Bartow facility. The individual will divide time between a wide variety of tasks and assist other office personnel to ensure an efficient and organized office that meets all requirements and deadlines. This individual reports to the Site Controller.

A Brief Summary Of This PositionThis position will assist in multiple areas including but not limited to customer invoicing and reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, month-end close, back up accounts payable, and assisting with various administrative functions of the Bartow facility. The individual will divide time between a wide variety of tasks and assist other office personnel to ensure an efficient and organized office that meets all requirements and deadlines. This individual reports to the Site Controller.
Essential Functions
- Input customer sales orders into Sage Accounting system.
- Create and reconcile customer invoicing in Sage Accounting system on a daily basis based on jobs shipped.
- Preparation of credit applications for new customers.
- Work closely with customers to resolve accounts issues.
- Assist Site Controller with forecasting and budgeting.
- Confirm production is being entered correctly and that the total tons/cost match and that rejected poles are removed from inventory.
- Ensure accuracy of backlog.
- Reconcile flange plate inventory.
- Ensures that all financial and accounting entries are accurate and reflect the transaction described by supporting documents.
- Ensures that accounting records conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Maintain an attitude that unlawful or unethical actions are not acceptable.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality on all non-public information that might be of use to competitors or harmful to Valmont or its customers.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
- One to three years of clerical or accounts receivable experience.
- Working knowledge and demonstrate ability in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Access.
- Experience with Sage and Workday preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate degree within a field related to the listed responsibilities.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple distractions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving math skills.
