How You’ll Make An ImpactThe Senior Revenue Accountant provides accounting support to the organization through the Corporate Accounting team that supports the Sales, Marketing and Pricing teams in North America. In the role, you would be responsible for:

- Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer candidates willing to work a hybrid in-office work schedule (3 days per week) if local. We are also open to candidates working in a remote capacity, but willing to visit HQs quarterly.
How You’ll Make An ImpactThe Senior Revenue Accountant provides accounting support to the organization through the Corporate Accounting team that supports the Sales, Marketing and Pricing teams in North America. In the role, you would be responsible for:
- Working with the Pricing Team Analysts and Master Data Accounting to set up new rebates. Reviewing contracts for accounting treatment and verify that they are properly set up
- Canada Manual Rebate Setup
- Monitor the performance of rebate accruals and investigate significant differences.
- Manage the VBOF condition adjustments and their related SNAP resets
- Develop SNAP dashboard reporting system to monitor key customer accounts, working with the Americas Sales and Marketing teams and the Senior Accountants for each region
- Perform quarterly completeness reviews in accordance with internal controls- move it to monthly process
- Prepare claim validations for Accounting Supervisor and Manager to approve payments entered in Salesforce. Review and compare Salesforce to SAP
- Attend monthly rebate meetings for all Regions
- Backup for Senior Accountants and Accounting Supervisor for problem resolution and research. Month end closing responsibilities TBD
- Provide SME Support to the S4 Hana Implementation
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum of four years' relevant accounting experience
- Expected Business Acumen (Business Knowledge / Soft Skills):

- Demonstrated attention to detailed processes and the ability to accurately follow steps and identify exceptions and issues for escalation
- Ability to evaluate data and assumptions, interpret results, and generate meaningful insights through the application of critical thinking and validation to support conclusions

- Ability to manage time through prioritization and planning to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to utilize straightforward and simple communication when connecting with others
