Van Crest Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal clinic that offers everything from boarding, vaccinations, surgeries, and emergency care. It is a close-knit clinic with a small, close knit staff. Our clinic is known for its hospitality, client education, cleanliness, and excellent patient care.
Van Crest Animal Hospital needs a dependable, friendly, compassionate team player to help take care of our animals. If that describes you, you may be that hard worker we are in search of? Van Crest Animal Hospital is looking for someone willing to ensure our pets are comfortable and clean at our practice; assist the doctors and nurses with pet restraint as needed; and keep the practice clean and inviting which is the primary purpose of our veterinary assistant. This facility is professionally maintained with strict standards. We prefer experience in the animal field, however, we are happy to offer training to someone we feel will make a great addition to our team.
Requirements:

Daily Duties Include but Not Limited to:
- Walking dogs in all weather conditions
- Kennel Cleaning
- Lifting patients over 50 lbs
- Caring for boarders (cats and dogs)
- Client interaction
- Animal restraining
- Dog/cat bathing
- Toe nail trimming/grinding
- Administering prescribed medication
- Washing dishes, laundry, cleaning floors, etc
- Assist the vet as needed
This is a Part-time position. Our Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30 to 6pm.
The weekday animal care shift is from 7:30am to 12pm and 2:15 to 6:30pm Monday thru Friday (Currently needing 7:30 am to 12 pm Monday thru Friday with rotating weekends)
Weekend Animal Care shifts are Sat and Sun 7:30-9:30 AM and 5:00-6:30 pm.
