Van Der Hout LLP is a nationally renowned, full-service immigration and nationality law firm located in the heart of Union Square. The firm was founded in 1980, and it now has 35 staff (attorneys, paralegal and admin support). It represents clients in a wide range of immigration matters. We have an opening for a full-time entry level administrative assistant. This position will be responsible for scanning documents, creating e-files in our network drive, with detailed attention required as to naming, saving and preserving confidentiality, and providing reception support. Additional firm-wide administrative tasks to be assigned as needed. Some client contact is likely, for which ability to communicate verbally in English and Spanish is required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Scanning documents and files
Creating e-files in our network drive
Telephone support
Case-noting
Data entry
Billing support
Clerical duties
Qualifications:
High school diploma
1-year of administrative experience and/or customer service experience
Strong organizational and project management skills
Positive attitude and attention to detail
Punctual and reliable
Competent use of Adobe Acrobat, Windows, Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
Interest in human rights and immigration matters a plus
