Vancouver Clinic is Hiring a Leave coordinator Near Peoria, AZ

We are seeking a Leave of Absence Coordinator to oversee those processes for employees and clinicians of Vancouver Clinic.

Will be the primary Clinic contact for leaders and employees on leave and provides compassionate support while maintaining a high level of accuracy and thorough communication.

Will interact with absence management vendor to ensure leaves are entered into HRIS system. Manages State Paid Leave programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the leave program in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and legal counsel.
  • Interpret and administer State paid leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable State laws.
  • Work with absence management vendor to determine appropriateness for ADA Accommodations and personal medical leaves.
  • Coordinate and organize all medical information and ensure that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
  • Manage all administrative aspects of leave to include administration of leaves in HRIS system, tracking hours used / taken and working closely with leaders and payroll to ensure that pay for employees is accurate and correct.
  • Maintain appropriate contact with all employees on leave and coordinate all aspects of return to work for employees on leave.
  • Produce and manage reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases. Present reports as requested. Identify leave of absence issue trends and advise management regarding escalated problem areas.
  • Responsible for arrangement of benefit premium payments to be made by employees on a continuous leave.
  • Research, respond, and document frequently asked leave of absence questions and inquiries, assign priorities to calls or emails based on timeliness of needed response, or escalate major issues to management for assistance.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, OR and WA State Paid Leaves, and other applicable laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement new solutions.
  • Ability to provide compassionate communication to employees and navigate challenging conversations with employees and leaders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data and tracking complex information.
  • Experience interacting with employees around sensitive topics and reinforcing laws and policies.

Pay Range : $29.28 - $43.92

Benefit-eligible employees qualify for benefits beginning on the first of the month following one month of employment. Vancouver Clinic offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, long term disability, health savings account, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and multiple supplemental benefits (voluntary life, critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, legal services, etc.

We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years.

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE / hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
