- Diesel Mechanic* to join our team at our
- Council Bluffs, IA,* store location.At least 10 years prior experience with diesel electrical systems, engine diagnostics and repair, and other drivetrain experience is required. Prior experience with Cat, Cummins, or Detroit diesel engines is a plus. This position does require the ability to use computer software for diagnostic purposes.* At Vander Haags, no two days are exactly the same. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of different heavy duty truck makes and models! General duties include:* All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair* Engine diagnostics and overhauls* Drivetrain* Electrical* DOT inspections* PM maintenance* Hydraulic systems* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and working area*Hours:* Flexible schedule with a 4-day work week. Overtime pay for any hours worked beyond 40 hours/week.*Compensation*: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. Pay is depending upon experience, ASE Certification, and other qualifications.*Benefits:
