Our local construction client seeks an experienced full-time Construction Accountant to join their close-knit team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a stable, casual, family-oriented atmosphere. The ideal candidate performs well in a self-directed environment and has multiple years of construction accounting under their belt.
Responsibilities of the Construction Accountant
- Monitor job costs and prepare progress billings/reports.
- Process accounts payable and receivable ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Support tax and insurance filing processes.
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting.
- Ad-hoc AP, AR, and WIP reporting.
Qualifications of the Construction Accountant
- 4 years of accounting experience in construction or related field.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and progress billing functions.
- Proficiency with construction industry ERP systems and able to learn new systems quickly; Viewpoint experience a plus.
- Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
