Epic Cogito AdministratorOur client is seeking an Epic Cogito Administrator to join their organization. The Epic Cogito Administrator is responsible for administration and support of our client's Epic Cogito Production and non-Production environments. This role is pivotal in advancing the organization's Epic Strategy, optimizing data integration to their EDW from Compass Rose and Payor Platform modules.
This role is fully remote and open to candidates residing in OR, WA, UT, ID, AZ, NV, MT, or WI.Epic Cogito Administrator ResponsibilitiesEpic Cogito Database Administration:
- Monitor Clarity and Caboodle ETL processes.
- Troubleshoot Clarity and Caboodle ETL Process Errors.
- Modify Clarity and Caboodle ETL processes.
- Add new Clarity tables and columns to data model.
- Support Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, BI RESTful, SSAS cubes, and Interconnect-based Cogito tools.
- Create and Manage ODB environment.
- Install and Maintain Monitoring Tools.
- Monitor/Troubleshoot System performance.
- Apply IRIS and Epic Upgrades and updates.
- Lead the design and maintenance of custom databases and processes.
- Provide database design expertise; lead small projects and consult on others.
- Advise on best practices of database design and development, including cloud-based solutions.
- Develop advanced ETL processes; provide escalation support.
- Analyze business requirements; research and recommend solutions.
- Maintain technology documentation.
- Define requirements, standards, and best practices for database and ETL development.
- Ensure systems comply with standards to support business operations.
- Conduct product and vendor research; present recommendations.
- Manage relations with vendors and suppliers.
- Align work with organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Support equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Meet annual business goals; adhere to policies and procedures.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in database and ETL development that includes most or all of the following:
- Epic Cogito Database Administration
- Database development and maintenance
- ETL development and maintenance
- Systems analysis and design
- Agile/Scrum methodology
- Minimum 5 years’ experience developing ETL for loading a dimensional model using a combination of T-SQL and SSIS 2012, 2014, or 2016
- Epic Cogito Systems Administrator (Cog-280 & Cog-380)
- Additional experience in related technology support or operational positions.
- Epic Clarity Database Administrator Certification.
- Advanced knowledge/skills with Epic Cogito Database Administration, Microsoft SQL Server, ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica), Visual Studio, and unit/integration testing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
