Responsibilities:

• Month-End Activities: Oversee and manage month-end close processes, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Team Supervision: Provide direct supervision and support to a team of 4 accounting staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Financial Preparation: Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial allocations. Generate financial statements for each department and ensure they reflect accurate and up-to-date information.
• Audit Documentation: Gather and organize documentation required for audits, ensuring all financial records are ready for review.
• Payroll Support: Provide backup support for payroll processing as needed, ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP, General Ledger (GL) functions, and month-end processes. Experience in non-profit, government, senior living, or project-based accounting is preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and collaboration in a mission-focused environment.
