Payroll SpecialistOur well-established wholesale client seeks an energetic Payroll Specialist to join their Portland office! This organization offers generous benefits, a tight-knit team environment, and an employee-centric culture. The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team and assisting with continuous process improvements to streamline payroll activities.
This is a hybrid role requiring qualified candidates to commute weekly to offices in Tigard, Oregon.Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
  • Perform high-volume bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple locations.
  • Calculate supplemental wages and accruals.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Research and respond to internal inquiries for information.
  • Maintain employee information in systems (new hires, transfers, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of payroll data.
  • Ad-hoc system implementation and improvements support.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications
  • 3 years of multi-state payroll experience for a mid-large sized organization.
  • Proficiency with ADP or similar payroll system and strong Excel skills.
  • Customer service focused with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary: $24-$34/hr. (DOE) Annual BonusBenefitsBenefits are available to eligible full-time employees and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, 401k match with employer match, profit share, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
