Senior Financial AccountantOur Pacific Northwest client is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Being a Senior Financial Accountant analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
This is a fully remote position.Senior Financial Accountant ResponsibilitiesReviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions.
Communicating With Company Executives About Financial Strategies.Interacting with all other financial organizational personnel and outside auditors.
Streamlining existing accounting processes and procedures.
Analyzing operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
Preparing account reconciliations and analysis.
Assisting with the preparation of financial plans and budgets.
Analyzing, interpreting and communicating cost and expense variances to management.
Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
Preparing financial statements.
Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
Performing complex accounting needs for their employer.
Essential Department And Organizational FunctionsPropose and implement process improvements.
Meet deadlines for completion of workload.
Maintain agreed upon work schedule.
Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork.
Provide cross-training on specific job responsibilities.
Meet identified business goals that contribute to departmental goals.
Perform other duties as needed.
Senior Financial Accountant QualificationsRequires a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
Requires 4 to 7 years of related experience.
Salary: $55.88/hr. (DOE)BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible VanderHouwen contractors and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and matching 401k.
