Staff Accountant
Our innovative SaaS client seeks a Technical Staff Accountant to join their team! The ideal candidate has an analytical mindset and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring qualified candidates to commute weekly to offices in Chicago, Illinois.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Review and escalate sales contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
- Ensure accurate transfer of sales data from CRM to ERP system for revenue recognition and invoicing.
- Collaborate with other departments to verify time and billing rates and integrate this data into ERP system.
- Complete month-end close activities and support revenue forecasting.
- Support various departments with revenue recognition and invoicing inquiries.
- Assist with audits and implementation of continuous process improvements.
Staff Accountant Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of accounting experience with a SaaS company or public accounting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; active or in-process CPA a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (Salesforce, Intacct, or similar preferred) and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary: $54k–$65k Bonus (DOE)
