Job Summary

The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing shipping operations across multiple facilities, monitoring the loading process, and accuracy of shipping documents.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Manage shipping staff including Logistics Scheduler, Shipping Coordinator, Outbound Traffic Coordinator, Shipping Leads, and Forklift Drivers

• Ability to operate inventory warehouse management system(s) effectively, including, but not limited to, creating ship orders, outbounds, and invoices.

• Communicate with the Production Operations Manager daily to plan labor for the following day
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure accuracy of shipping information
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies, provide status updates, and attain specific details regarding load plans
• Create ship orders in the inventory warehouse management system based on load plans
• Create and provide any necessary shipping labels, placards, or production breakouts for finished goods
• Ensure finished goods are safely and efficiently loaded onto trucks
• Proactively and independently resolve challenges with finished goods during the shipping process
• Report any shortages or damages to production and quality teams
• Conduct training and support for shipping staff

• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules

• Ability to work a flexible schedule if necessary
• Attendance is an essential function of the role

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of transferrable management experience
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Good arithmetic skills are required
• General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
