Bachelor’s degree and possess a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist educator’s license. Highly qualified in all content areas. Prior teaching experience in the field of special education/intervention at the high school level, prior experience writing IEP’s, excellent communication, organizational, and instructional skills are desired traits. A valid Ohio driver’s license and positive background checks (BCI/FBI) are mandatory.
The intervention specialist shall demonstrate the ability to individualize academic intervention and track effectiveness of intervention activities. The instructor shall assist each student in their own achievement of personal, educational, and career goals. The instructor shall demonstrate the ability to work independently and have a solid foundational knowledge of special education law and requirements. The instructor shall have a working knowledge ofonline learning platforms and possess strong organizational skills to track and monitor student progress. The candidate shall implement the Superintendent’s directives, district goals, and policies of the Board of Education.
